To run this step, you need to do enable your BIOS (Basic Input/Output System), and hence we recommend to enable it before even facing any kind of power button issues. So that, if it happens at any time, you can use your laptop by powering it ON with this backup power button.
If you have a laptop with Windows 10 operating system, then you can start it without a power button by the following steps:
- Press F2, F10, and DEL buttons together while booting up your laptop. It will let you access the BIOS on your computer.

- Press F2, F10, and DEL keys together while the computer is starting and enter to the BIOS setting.

- Save the entire custom settings and once done, press F10 to exit from the place.
Now all you need to do is to configure the network card and for that you need another laptop or computer to make this method work properly. Following are the steps:
• Go to START and search Device Manager.
• Open it and find Network Adapter.
• Click on it and then tap on Properties.
• Now locate Power Management and click on it.
• You will get an option named “Allow This Device to Wake the Computer”. Select this.
• Now go to the “Advanced” setting and enable the “Wake on Magic Packet” setting.
And, if your laptop is based on Mac OS, then it will be lot easier than the above ones. All you need to do are mentioned here below:
• Open the System Preferences in your MacBook.
• Now go to the “Energy Saver” option.
